We are created to worship.

We are created to worship.

At EVC, we have a passion for honest and vibrant worship. Worshiping in song is one of our favorite love languages, and you will find that we cherish coming together to sing and declare God’s greatness. Here, there is a song for everyone - from hymns to contemporary gospel and everything in between.

Led by Juli Godsil, Kids Club is bringing the God's Word into the public schools. EVC currently runs Kids Clubs at Cadwallader and Dove Hill schools bringing the word to nearly 200 children per week. EVC has partnered with other local churches to help launch clubs at several other schools in the Evergreen District.

Each year EVC hosts a huge free community egg hunt at Dove Hill School just before Easter. We provide free snacks, carnival games, raffle, skit, and an egg hunt with over 12,000 eggs.

Led by Bev Daily, Kids Club Consultants works with local churches to prepare and start Kids Clubs in the public schools. Currently there are over 60 schools with Kids Clubs operating in the greater San Jose area reaching around 5,000 students with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Providing hope and companionship to those who are left outside while their loved ones are serving time in prison  Kairos helps those who are left suffering seek and find hope for tomorrow. Our EVC ministry is led by Margaret Campisi.

EVC ministers to children with disabilities and their families by offering “respite” days at the church to give parents a day of rest while the children enjoy a day of love. EVC also sends summer teams to Joni & Friends Family Camp to minster to the entire family. Our EVC ministry is led by Greg and Irene Trapp.

Help One Child provides partnerships with local foster care group homes building long term relationships with the students in those homes. Our EVC ministry led by Michelle Aguilar.

Led by Don Smith, Prison Sports is making a difference by ministering to the inmates through sport events, encouraging the institutional staff, chaplains and guards at three bay area institutions.

Led by Greg Perry and Steve Belarmino, EVC ministers to the homeless by offering weekly Worship Services, Bible Study and Prayer at InnVision’s homeless shelter and by helping provide clothing and food distributions in downtown San Jose.

Led by Greg Perry, EVC ministers to the elderly at Regency on Sunday and at Vintage Silver Creek on Tuesday offering on site worship services, visitation and prayer.

EVC sponsors ministry opportunities and community events to minister to and bless the families from our community in many different ways. Utilizing the connections we have made through Kids Club, each Christmas season we reach out through the ADOPT-A-FAMILY ministry to help the most needy families from our local schools and provide the blessing of gifts and food. EVC is constantly working to evangelize and disciple un-reached people groups in the Evergreen community.

Global Ministries

To the ends of the earth.

Our vision at EVC is “Developing Relationships with God, His Word, and People”. The Global Ministry Team supports and shares in that vision “Beyond the Walls of the Church."

We encourage and support the personal ministries of our people, along with partnering with mission organizations and global missionaries who are working in countries throughout the world, as well as right here in our own community.

Hope Enterprises – Ethiopia

Making a difference in Ethiopia. Hope Enterprises, led by Zenebe Ayele provides for orphaned children. Campuses are located in Addis Ababa, Dessie, Gamabella, Roggie, Hirara and Assosa. In addition to support for Hope Enterprises, EVC provides breakfast to more than 900 children every day at the school in Dessie, Ethiopia. Plus the ongoing clinic operations are supported by EVC.  Hope continues to bring life and the Word to the children through it’s education and humanitarian activities.

Horn of Africa Mission – Africa

Disease, famine, drought, war, genocide and poverty paint an accurate picture of life for millions of people in Africa. HOAEM is bringing the hope of Jesus to Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea.  The Horn of Africa Evangelical Mission is training and sending church planters throughout the region. Over 6000 churches have been planted since 2002. Currently, Church Planters are starting 6 churches a day in the Horn of Africa region.

Hope Unlimited for Children – Brazil

Hope Unlimited makes a difference in Brazil by offering shelter and the hope in Jesus Christ to street children who would otherwise be gunned down by vigilante groups within the cities of Brazil. Led by Phillip Smith, Hope Unlimited is breaking the cycle of children living on the streets and developing lasting relationships through community outreach, shelters and adoption.

Sangita Charitable Trust – India

Led by Paul and Grace Moses, their dream was to reach out to underprivileged children in India. Their compassion towards the helpless has focused them to concentrate on the children’s home – for the homeless and helpless.

Campus Crusade for Christ – Australia

Working on college campuses in Sydney, Australia, Jody and Lois Kubo are using their experience gleaned from 25+ years as missionaries to reach and disciple students from Asia (mostly China), and then send them back home as tent making church planters in their homeland.

City Team International – Worldwide

Working in America and internationally in the most un-reached countries in the world, City Team International trains church planters to reach indigenous people groups located within each country. EVC sponsors Dave Hunt (Ethiopia) training pastors to Northern Africa, Aychiluhm Beyene (Ethiopia), and Aila Tasse (Kenya) as they travel to the ends of the earth to lead and train church planters throughout the world.

Global Media Outreach – Worldwide

Several of our members participate in evangelism through the internet. GMO provides opportunities for those who have a heart to help fulfill the Great Commission by interacting with people from every part of the world to meet the real God through Christian-based internet search sites. Volunteers then begin to disciple seekers and new believers worldwide through e-mail correspondence.

Operation Christmas Child – Worldwide

Each year EVC serves as the Evergreen area collection site for Operation Christmas Child. EVC collects thousands of shoe box gifts to send off to children around the world so that they might receive the gospel and a gift for Christmas. For many children, this is the only gift they will receive in their lifetime.

Baja Missions – Mexico

EVC sends a short term mission team across the border to Mexico during the summer to partner with the local missionaries, Bobby and Joanne Bainbridge. Our team assists them with construction projects, children’s ministry, and any other way we can encourage and support their efforts to reach Mexico with the gospel.
